FLOWERY BRANCH – The Falcons just completed the second day of their minicamp before an overflow crowd on Kid’s Day on Wednesday.

Here’s are seven quick takes from the practice:

1. Luckett on tryout. Wide receiver Donatella Luckett, of Harding, received a tryout. He was wearing Roddy White’s 84 jersey.

2. Goodman makes another play. Converted cornerback C.J. Goodman picked off an overthrown pass by Matt Schaub and returned it for a touchdown.

3. Coleman running hard. Running back Tevin Coleman drew raves from the crowd for his hard running in drills.

4. Red zone touchdowns. The second-team offense scored against the first-team defense when Schaub tossed a pass to tight end Austin Hooper. The first-team offense scored against he second-team defense when Ryan tossed a touchdown pass to Justin Hardy on a slant.

5. Schweitzer with first-team. Rookie guard Wes Schweitzer received most of the first-team snaps at right guard today. Tom Compton was with the second-team.

6. Holders. We have to find out where Matt Bosher was today from coach Dan Quinn. Schaub and Ryan held for kicker Matt Bryant during the field goal kicking period.

7. Injury report. Returner Devin Hester (foot) and wide receiver Devin Fuller (hamstring) worked off to the side with the trainers. Center James Stone (knee) did not practice. Right guard Chris Chester left the field, but it didn’t appear to be injury related. Defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux was tended to the trainers, before trying to walk off a lower leg injury.
