FLOWERY BRANCH — Here’s what Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan had to say after practice on Friday.
On the difference he feels in year two with this offense:
“It’s definitely different. I think that everybody’s familiarity with what we’re doing is way further along than we were last year. Just even getting in and out of the huddle, play calls coming out faster, guys knowing where they’re supposed to be. I think that’s been really good. Our execution needs to go up, I mean obviously that’s to be expected the first couple of days. You’re usually not right where you need to be, but I think we’ve ironed out some of those kinks and we got to keep doing that and keep working at it and keep trying to improve every day. That’s kind of the focus that we’ve had. Every little block that we have during this training camp, whether it is a meeting or weight lifting session or practice, it’s about focusing in on that two hours or three hours, whatever it is, and trying to get better during that period. If we can continue to take that approach, guys will do a good job.”
