5 things to know about the Falcons on Wednesday

FLOWERY BRANCH — The Falcons (2-1) will face the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2)  in their final exhibition season game at 7 p.m. Thursday night at the Georgia Dome.

Here are five things to know about the Falcons on Wednesday morning:

1. Team meeting. Falcons coach Dan Quinn had a meeting with the team about Colin Kaepernick’s decision to sit during the national anthem while protesting social injustices and police brutality. 

2. Walk-through scheduled. The Falcons have a walk-through planned for today. Wide receiver Julio Jones, who will not play against Jacksonville, may participate.  Strong safety Dashon Goldson is slated to play against Jacksonville

3. Running back to be added. The Falcons are going to play Devin Fuller (shoulder) on injured reserve and add a running back.

4. Starters to play. Falcons coach Dan Quinn plans to play the starters briefly against Jacksonville.

5. Special teams need to improve. Falcons special team coordinator Keith Armstrong wants to improve the “average” special teams. He plans to look closely at player in the final exhibition game.
